Terms and Conditions


HERTFORDSHIRE FIRE & RESCUE SERVICE HertsFire Training
1. Bookings for any course offered by HertsFire Training, Herts Fire and Rescue Service can be made by e-mail, fax, letter or telephone.  All telephone bookings must be confirmed by return of official booking form via post, fax or e-mail within five working days.

2. Payment should be made within 30 days upon receipt of invoice.


3. Transferring a booked course to another date for any reason by delegate may be subject to the following charges:


· More than 4 weeks prior to original course - NO CHARGE

· 2-4 weeks notice given prior to original course - 25% of course fee

· Less than 2 weeks notice given prior to original course - 50% of course fee

If a course has been transferred more than once HertsFire Training reserve the right to impose a minimum transfer charge of 25%.

4. Cancelling a booked course for any reason by delegate may be subject to the following charges:

· More than 4 weeks prior to course date - NO CHARGE

· 2-4 weeks notice given prior to course date - 50% of course fee

· Less than 2 weeks notice given prior to course date - 100% of course fee

All cancellations must be made in writing and received by HertsFire Training within the due date.

5. Non-Attendance by delegates, who have not previously informed HertsFire Training in writing, will be subject to full payment.

6. Please adhere to the arrival time.  Due to the induction process at the beginning of each course, late arrivals will not be admitted.  Late arrival will result in exclusion from the course, if the Training Officer deems there is insufficient time to gain the knowledge required for the course in question.  In such instances the full course fee remains payable.

7. Inappropriately dressed delegates will be unable to participate in the ‘hot can’ experience.  Shorts, skirts, sandals and open toed shoes may not be worn.  Please refer to individual course specifications for further information.

8. HertsFire Training reserves the right to cancel any course if there are insufficient numbers to run a viable course.  In these circumstances all delegates will be given as much notice as possible and offered a free transfer to another date or a full refund of any fees paid.

9. Delegates attending courses at Longfield Training & Development Centre should be aware of the following:

· On entering and exiting the site, vehicles cross over a busy cycle lane and footpath, caution should be taken.

· All delegates should park in the visitor’s car park, which is immediately on the right hand side when entering the site.

· The site operates a non-smoking policy.
